Power for change

We must become bigger than we have been: more courageous, greater in spirit, larger in outlook. We must become members of a new race, overcoming petty prejudice, owing our ultimate allegiance not to nations but to our fellow men within the human community.

Adopt responsibility for your own well-being, try to put your family together, try to serve your community, try to seek for eternal truth… That’s the sort of thing that can ground you in your life, enough so that you can withstand the difficulty of life.

The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

Learn about three pillars of SUCCESS

The three of the most important things are Learning, Reflection and Execution.

Learning

Learning new things not only makes us competitive but it also puts us in a good state of mind. When we are in a positive state of mind we are more capable of creating the reality that we want.

Reflection

Reflection fuels you with motivation and inspiration. Inspiration will come from spending time in solitude and reflecting on things you learned in life, through experience and books.

Execution

The learning and reflection in your life will not be of any use if you do not apply what you have learned and act on what you’ve realized, to achieve successful career you need execution.

We should judge by talent and work not by community or caste.

Putting forward your positive energy connects you back to basic human values which we all share. Good Deeds Day shows that no matter the size of the gesture, a smile that brightens someone else’s day or volunteering in your community, we can all take active part in making a difference.

Wedding Jewellery Detail on your special day

Plan for You

All eyes will be on you, so choose pieces that are unique and timelessly elegant. If your look is a traditional one, you can opt to remain classical with a delicate veil. Some of the best are updated with flower wreaths and embellishments, both of which are bang on trend. Or if you want to be more daring, make a statement with a simple dress and more lavish jewellery. Depending on your budget, a piece like a classic tiara or a silver- or gold-plated necklace draws the eye. Just be careful not to upstage your dress – accessories should complement, not distract.

Be Subtle

If you have a themed wedding planned or are simply choosing to be more adventurous with your wedding gown, jewellery can work wonders to balance and accentuate. Coloured dresses have become increasingly popular over the years, especially with an increase in marriages abroad. With this in mind, simple jewellery is key. Look for subtle statement pieces like delicate silver chains with a pendant or gemstone. If you’re marrying your partner in the sun, you may wish to avoid flashy accessories, particularly where photography is involved. The last thing you want is for your jewellery to be shining more than your smile.

Pick Wisely

If you have a vintage wedding theme, you are truly spoilt for choice where beautiful jewellery is concerned. Although it’s tempting to click buy every unique piece that you see, remember that the first rule of accessorising is that less is more. Choose one or two items that complement your dress, and be careful too not to pick anything too obviously dated – a great vintage piece will remain timeless rather than tired. So when you are walking down the aisle of your chosen location, for example a Gloucester Hotel Wedding Venue that you found on likes including www.hatton-court.co.uk/gloucester-cotswolds-weddings  With great jewellery, your wedding outfit can go from nice to spectacular in a matter of seconds. Pick wisely, go with your gut and have fun with your accessories – remember, it’s your day.

It is thought that in five years this sector will have grown to be worth £2.3 billion all over the world, and the Agri-EPI hub provides the help required to drive that growth, along with supporting new and innovating ideas for used food machinery auctioneers designed to assist business owners and farmers to be sustainable in these challenging and exciting times.

Future Plans

In the future horticulture and agriculture are tipped to be key industries needed in order to feed a huge and exploding global population while keeping the environmental impact to a minimum. The Agri_EPI hub will bring expertise in industry and research together with data gathering in all areas of farming to increase sustainability and efficiency of land-based industries.

In addition to the new types of information technology and science engineering, the hub will look at how to improve the performance of complex processing and production systems that are present in agriculture and key drivers of profitability, including growth rates for plants and livestock, nutrient efficiency and product quality.

Among some new areas of interest in cutting-edge technologies, there are automated vehicles which will heavily use metal bonding adhesives to keep the structure strong from links like https://www.ct1.com/product-applications/metal-to-metal-adhesive/ , new instrumentation to look at performance in the field and the operation of cropping systems. There will be imaging technologies and sensing tools to monitor livestock production in places where there is poor health and product quality. The hub has already formed key partnerships with over 65 commercial companies such as Morrisons, M&S, JCB and others, and it is looking to the future with other partners and developing opportunities for future growth and development.

How many objects in your property have glass in them?

You would be pretty surprised by just how many of your things in your home have glass in them or are made of glass.  If you have children you might want to start gathering them up if possible and putting them on a super high shelf or lock them away.

When you look in your cupboards you may notice most of your cups are made of glass so keeping them safe and locked away is the best idea. You might want to get a selection of smaller plastic cups for any children you have or visiting children.  This will allow you to stay calm and keep your children away from danger.  You will also see jugs made from glass that are normally microwave proof or at least heat proof for sauces and gravy.

You may have some dishes that you can cook a big meal in like shepherd’s pie are normally made from glass and large in shape so you can see the contents cooking and the food normally doesn’t stick.

Doors – You will find most front doors and backdoors have glass in them which can be of varying sizes and thickness.  You will need to make sure they are looked after and make sure its of a certain thickness as burglars will often use this point to break in by smashing the glass and putting their arm through.

Windows – Windows off course are entirely made up of glass but their are so many different types you would be amazed.  Depending on where you live, you will probably need to look at the thickness because noises can often be let in and also cold draughts. If you need a Double Glazing Gloucester company to come and install them for you then simply look at sites like https://www.firmfix.co.uk.  They have trained professionals that will come and do a quote for you and look into what you might need.

Conservatories – Some homes are lucky enough to have a conservatory on the back which as most people know have a lot of glass in them.  If you are concerned about the amount of glass and your children playing it may be best to keep them away from that area.  It might also be a wise idea to corden that area off in the garden from all sports so no accidents can happen.

Where did the traditional BBQ come from?

Mention barbecuing and more than likely two competing images will spring to mind. You can’t escape the idea of our Australian cousins standing around the grill in their shorts, tinny in one hand, spatula in the other. But we’d be kidding ourselves if we said they invented the tradition. Barbecuing goes back much further than that.

One thing is for sure who ever does a bbq it also smells incredible, you will always eat to much and there is lots of mess at the end.  A perfect way to enjoy it is under a canopy to shade some of the sun or even choose from some Bespoke Oak Frames to place in your garden from sites like https://www.bespoaktimberframes.co.uk/ and you and your family can all fit underneath on your favourite table.

Throw another shrimp on the Babacoa

The Babacoa is the barbecue’s original predecessor. You’ve probably seen it in drawings from the times of Christopher Columbus, a wooden structure with long poles suspending food over an open flame. The ancient chefs used to cook mainly fish on theirs and it might look a little different to the one in your back garden, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use it to enjoy some traditional fish barbecuing of your own. There are plenty of recipes to choose from  http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2008/aug/24/fish.maincourse. But you don’t always need to go by the book.

Start with good ingredients

Of course it’s important to get good fish. Look for vibrant and shiny skin when fresh or slowly defrost frozen fish in the fridge on the day. There’s no need to be put off by frozen fish. It’s prepared on the day of the catch and might even be better than fresh fish after it hits your plate.

When cooking fish on the barbecue, your options are limitless. Every fish species has its own distinct flavours allowing for a wide variety of tastes and textures. Fish can be prepared beforehand, marinated in sauces made from chilli, lemon juice, mustard, Cilantro or pepper, to name just a few. Likewise, dry herbs can be rubbed into the skin with oil or butter for a crispy coating.

Once your fish is on the grill, it’s essential to make sure it doesn’t stick. Using oil certainly helps and there is also a wide range of BBQ utensils. available such as fish cages and tongs to make sure you get the most out of your catch.

And don’t forget the side dishes. Rice, beans and plantain based foods flavoured with cassava, bell peppers, tomatoes and coconut go great with fish. But for a truly Caribbean experience, we recommend one important change. It’s time to put down that can of beer and pick up a nice cool Pina Colada. And enjoy!

Encourage employee involvement

How workplace design can be used to increase employee engagement

Organizations that want to increase employee engagement may be surprised to learn that almost a third of workers are not involved or detached but fall somewhere in the midst of being engaged or not. These workers may not actively hurt the organization, but they also do not benefit it. Because they form a large part of the workforce, only a slight increase in their level of involvement can have a significant impact on business performance. One way to do this is to make some important changes to their work environment.

By maximizing the potential of workplace design there are a number of things you can do to help increase employee engagement.

Give employees choices and control over when and how to work

Studies have highlighted that while employees do need times of focus, at other times they need to collaborate. Sometimes they prefer to be alone in a quiet place, and other times they prefer to be in a cafe with people and buzz around them. It is important to be able to choose what works best on a certain day. Make this a priority when carrying out your next office refit. For an Office Fit out Company, visit mobiusatwork.co.uk/

Enhance and promote collaboration, especially for teams based in various locations

Collaboration is the key to any workplace, but the space must be designed to support a variety of collaboration styles as well. For example, project space for intense activity between three to six people can display a high seating position to support active brain movement and activity, with whiteboards and technology for sharing digital content. That will be very dramatically different from the set up required for meeting with suppliers or clients, engaging in a video conference or a training session, for example.

Provide employees with spaces to focus, concentrate, and enjoy some privacy

Studies have shown that workers who have greater levels of engagement have more access to spaces where they can concentrate that is separate from their colleagues. In addition, neuroscience teaches us that our brains are not designed for multitasking and that staying focused requires energy. According to the University of California, we are open to distractions every three minutes, with an impact that results in our ability to focus and concentrate. This is very important for employees in an open plan office, to enable them to balance ongoing contact with coworkers with moments of privacy and determination.

Allow workers to move physically during the day and change posture

Employees who feel engaged are healthy employees. Therefore, it is important for staff to have the opportunity to move during the work day to maintain their physical well-being. Space must support a variety of postures and encourage movement – both through seating tables, seating designed to support interaction with mobile devices, even lounge chairs that allow staff to sit with standing legs to relax. There are many choices for increasing physical well-being. Movement is a major supporter of brain regeneration, thereby helping us produce our best ideas.
